Kelvin had self trained in most part of his career till now. Currently he runs 250 to 280 kms per week which is 40% more than what Eliud Kipchoge runs.

When he was training for London Marathon, he ran 300 kms per week for 3 weeks. Thats insane mileage.

On Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, he runs 40 kms each day. 25 to 28 kms in the morning and around 12 kms in the afternoon

Tuesday is a fartlek session which is now widely accepted in marathon training. This days is spent mostly on track field.

The most eyepopping fact of his training is that he never takes a day off. His coach Rwandan Garvais Hakizinama sometime gets worried with his tough training regime.

What is incredible is of the worlds fastest 6 marathons, Kelvin has his stamp on 3 of them. And he has just started.

Kelvin was born on 2nd December 1999 and was greatly inspired by his village mate, Geoffrey Kamworor who won New York marathon twice.
